As a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Client, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing high-quality veterinary medications and ensuring the safety and health of animals. Working in a state-of-the-art compounding facility and under the supervision of the managing pharmacist in charge, you will be responsible for the preparation of non-sterile medications in compliance with pharmacy law, standards of pharmacy practice, and USP compounding standards. Your attention to detail, strong technical skills, and dedication to quality will contribute to the success of our compounding operations.
Join the Client team as a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician and contribute to our mission of improving the health and well-being of animals through high-quality medications. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, learn and apply company standard operating procedures (SOP) to perform supporting compounding tasks, participate in dosage form training, and obtain in depth knowledge (validation) in the preparation and handling of at least 1 dosage compounding form following established protocols and compounding techniques.
* Learn and apply USP standards to prepare, handle, and dispose of materials including hazardous waste.
* Follow all requirements for personal hygiene and garbing, including proper hand hygiene and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
* Use good compounding practices to avoid cross contamination, and to ensure correct potency and quality of each preparation.
* Clean and sanitize the compounding area, equipment, and tools in accordance with regulations and standard operating procedures.
* Monitor and maintain inventory levels of compounding supplies, including chemicals, solutions, and equipment, and place orders as needed.
* Participate in training programs, continuing education, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on compounding techniques, regulations, and industry advancements.
* Entry level compounding position, 6 months plus experience preferred in pharmacy.
* Experience as a compounding Pharmacy Technician, with a focus on non-sterile compounding, preferred but not required.
