We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a non-profit organization based in Mount Vernon, NY . In this role, you will provide strategic financial leadership and management during a transitional period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals and mission.
  • Evaluate and optimize financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Participate in board meetings and provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors, donors, and partners, to maintain positive relationships and transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent certification highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, including budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and creatively to solve complex problems.
