Common diagnosis / Types of patients include Ortho surgeries (mainly knee/hip) and various non-acute or critical patients
Ratios vary depending on census
LPNs and RNs responsible for different patient counts depending on census
Additional Details
Unit follows LTC regulations
Step down for patient not ready to discharge home or to nursing home after acute care stay or surgical procedure
Patient typical stay is 14 days - all patients must have skilled need - various admitting diagnosis
Unit is a step down from acute and post-op care but licensed under LTC regulations
Post acute care unit
Respiratory care and intervention
Sanitized wound dressing and redressing
IV antibiotics to prevent infection
Scheduled therapy sessions
