The Minnesota Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (MN ACOG) is seeking a contract staff coordinator to manage the administrative duties of our organization.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is a member organization with a mission to support our members to improve the lives of all people seeking obstetric and gynecological care, their families, and communities. ACOG’s vision is an equitable world in which exceptional and respective obstetric and gynecologic care is accessible to all. To carry out this mission and vision, the national organization is divided into districts and sections to implement this work on a local level.

This position is a part time contract position to support the administrative needs of the MN Section of ACOG. This position offers flexible work hours with the majority of the work being remote and the requirement for a few in-person events throughout the year.

Details:

  • Plan regular meetings of the MN ACOG Section’s advisory council, prepare agendas, meeting handouts, minutes, and attend council meetings. Council meetings are typically quarterly.

  • Record management of documents, meeting minutes, event evaluations

  • Work with the national ACOG office to communicate with MN ACOG members (over 900 members throughout the state) on important events and opportunities.

  • Plan and organize two annual meetings for our membership. This includes a summer social event and a winter annual educational meeting. Event coordination duties includes:

    • organize event space contracts, catering services, AV services

    • serve as the contact for vendors, attendees, and speakers

    • provide registration management prior to and during these meetings

    • advertise the meetings to our membership and allied professionals

    • coordinate Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for our members and attendees

  • Manage the info@mnacog.org email address

  • Assist the Section’s Treasurer in managing the Section’s budget.

Compensation:

  • Pay: $1,500 monthly contract salary or $18,000 annually

Requirements:

  • Dedication the mission and vision of ACOG

  • Minnesota resident with the ability to be in-person at our events throughout the year that are located in the Twin Cities Metro.

  • Experience in an administrative assistant function, secretarial, and/or clerical role

  • Experience handling confidential, sensitive business information and supporting executive level professionals

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Powerpoint, Word, Excel. Hosting and planning virtual meeting platforms such as ZOOM or TEAMS.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Multi-tasking and independent work ethic

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to pass a background check with the Minnesota Department of Human Services

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa

Preferred:

  • We are looking for a contract staff coordinator that intends to maintain this position continuously for a minimum of 2-3 years, and ideally longer. Our volunteer physician leadership roles rotate every 2 years and the MN Section of ACOG would benefit from a consistent coordinator to aid in leadership transitions.
