*Roles and Responsibilities:*
* Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (INCU), which functions at a higher acuity level than med/surg and similar to an ICU step-down unit.
* Shift Management: Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend.
* Basic Life Support (BLS): Maintain and apply BLS certification in patient care.
* Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, develop individualized care plans, and administer necessary treatments.
* Critical Care Support: Utilize critical care skills to monitor and manage patients with complex medical needs.
* Documentation: Use the Epic EMR system to accurately document patient information, care plans, and treatment progress.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and meet the intermediate care needs of patients.
* Floating: Be prepared to float to similar units as needed, ensuring consistent and high-quality care across the facility.
* Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, care plans, and discharge instructions.
* Standard Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

*Requirements:*
* Licensure: Active RN license.
* Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an intermediate care, step-down, or ICU setting.
* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with the Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system is required.
* Availability: Must be willing to work every other weekend.
