JOB SUMMARY

This is a Human Resources position responsible for assisting in the daily operational activities of the Human Resources and Safety departments, assisting with the administration of all Company policies, procedures, and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process bi-weekly payroll which includes processing PTO (paid-time-off), time edits, and pay adjustments.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, company policies, etc.
  • Assist in any additional projects given by the Director of Human Resources, HR Manager, and Safety Manager
  • Perform monthly checks on fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and ladder. Perform weekly warehouse safety checks.
  • Conduct safety and benefits orientations for new hires.
  • Administrative work such as filing, copying, posting notices, updating bulletin boards (birthday and anniversary lists, stock prices, benefit information), etc.
  • Identify those who meet resume qualifications and move to the next step in the recruiting process.
  • Unemployment communication submissions.
     

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • HSD or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years of Human Resources experience

Professional Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence, knowledge of HR laws and regulations required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
