**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year experience circulating a heart room
**License:** Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS)
**Must-Have:** Ability to circulate in different rooms and cover 7 to 12 on-call days per month
**Job Description:**
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
- Required clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit/department.
- Performs a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Effectively communicates with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Schedule includes Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; heart rooms from 5:50 AM to 2:20 PM when circulating in the first room.
- Possible schedules include 2 8-hour days and 2 12-hour days or 5 8-hour days.
- On-call coverage in the afternoons from 7:30 PM to 5:20 AM/6:20 AM, Monday to Friday, with weekends being 24-hour on-call.
**Education:**
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
