**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours Per Week
**Experience:** Previous experience in a similar setting preferred
**License:** North Carolina License for Physical Therapy Required
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association Required
**Must-Have:** Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
**Job Description:**
- Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer Physical Therapy programs aimed at restoring function, preventing disability, and helping patients enhance physical and functional abilities.
- Assess patients using selected techniques and synthesize information to establish appropriate care plans, including necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, therapeutic groups, and patient education.
- Gather and interpret appropriate data from medical records, physician reports, and patient/family input as evidenced by documentation.
- Establish functional goals in conjunction with patients and provide evidence-based interventions to work toward meeting these goals, with ongoing assessment to adjust the care plan as needed.
- Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, and discharge notes as needed.
- Communicate patient evaluations and subsequent progress with physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff; coordinate patient schedules and treatment programs and plan discharges.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians/Aides, as required by licensure.
- Use personal protective equipment when necessary due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals or bodily fluids.
- Work daily in a fast-paced clinical environment, primarily indoors but occasionally outdoors.
- Engage in activities that may require sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, bending, crouching, crawling, and reaching overhead. Capable of lifting patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, and able to laterally transfer patients up to 100 pounds rarely.
- Demonstrate appropriate exercises and activities to patients and caregivers.
