Our client located in western Massachusetts near Pittsfield is seeking a permanent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Hospitalist team. Experience with a focus on Addiction Medicine is preferred.

Job Responsibilities of the Hospitalist NP/PA:

Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, obtaining patient histories, and performing physical examinations.
Ordering and interpreting diagnostical tests such as laboratory tests, EKGs, imaging procedures, and other necessary tests.
Developing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the attending physician.
Prescribing and administering medications, including intravenous therapies and blood products, as appropriate, and monitoring patient response to therapy.
Participating in daily rounds with the hospitalist physician, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
Documenting and maintaining accurate and complete medical records, including progress notes, patient data, and treatment plans as per hospital policy.

Minimum Job Requirements for the Hospitalist NP/PA Position:

One year of experience as an NP/PA
Hospitalist experience - preferred
Substance abuse experience - preferred
Eligible to obtain or already Massachusetts licensed
Ties to the area
