Responsibilities:


As a Construction Estimator, you will report directly to the VP of Estimating and will be responsible for -


  • Collaborating with estimators to prepare bids and proposals effectively.
  • Conducts thorough assessments of quantities, materials, and labour requirements based on project specifications.
  • Utilizes material unit prices and labour productivities to create accurate estimates.
  • Aids in managing bid documents and ensures proper documentation and organization of all estimate-related information for a seamless transition to the project team.
  • Supports the lead bid runner by undertaking bid-day tasks as assigned.
  • Obtains competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to enhance bidding competitiveness.
  • Cultivates and sustains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including lead estimators, lead bid runners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
  • 2 or more years in the construction industry.
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry and key principles involved in bid preparation.
  • Understands and uses takeoff systems.
  • Outstanding oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
