Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The Staff Accountant will assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements. If you're organized and eager to develop your accounting career, this opportunity is for you.



Compensation: Starting at $30/hour
Location: Agawam, MA

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Prepare and post general ledger entries and assist in the month-end close process.
  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely adjustments.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Help prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Assist with audits by gathering and organizing relevant financial documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records as the Staff Accountant.
  • Support process improvements and assist in special projects as needed.


Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
