Job Description:
As a Senior Network Development Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our network infrastructure to support massive scalability and robust performance. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge network solutions that meet complex business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and optimization of major internet routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS.
- Design and deploy robust TCP/IP networking solutions across various hardware platforms and packet forwarding architectures.
- Develop and execute automation scripts in Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl to enhance network operations and efficiency.
- Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting to ensure the highest network performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with technical teams to plan and execute network expansion and enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in network design, engineering, and operational challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our network solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
- 5+ years of experience in a Linux/Unix environment.
- 3+ years of experience in automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
- Extensive knowledge of IP networking technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and TCP.
- Proven track record in network design, engineering, implementation, operations, and solution enhancement.
- Experience in leading network development projects within a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE).
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and develop new networking solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
