Position Title : Automation Specialist - Desktop Engineering
Location: Austin, TX
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows for desktop deployments and data migrations of user data, applications, and settings using Autopilot, USMT, PowerShell, Power Platform, and other automation tools.
- Test and troubleshoot automation solutions and ensure they meet the business and user requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and IT staff on automation-related issues and best practices.
- Document and update automation processes, procedures, and standards.
- Research and evaluate new automation technologies and tools and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in desktop engineering, automation, or related roles.
- Proficient in Autopilot, USMT, PowerShell, Power platform, and other desktop automation and migration tools
- Knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and other cloud-based services and platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA, or other relevant areas are a plus.
