Are you a skilled hands on CNC Mill Setup Programmer seeking an exciting opportunity in manufacturing? Look no further We're searching for a talented individual to join our dynamic team. As an Okuma CNC Mill Set up Programmer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating and optimizing CNC Okuma machine setups and programs to drive precise and efficient machining of various materials. Responsibilities:

  • Develop Okuma CNC programs for milling machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select cutting tools, machining parameters, and tool paths for optimal efficiency and quality.
  • Run simulations to address potential issues and optimize tool paths for improved cycle times.
  • Collaborate with engineers and machinists to meet project requirements and discuss enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machining processes as needed to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling information, and machining parameters.
  • Lead the milling division team, cross-train, and foster development among team members.
  • Utilize setup, fixture, and tooling experience to enhance machining processes.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill Setup Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM).
  • Strong knowledge of milling machine operations, tool selection, and cutting parameters.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with the ability to work some overtime when needed during week or an occasional Saturday. Usually only 4-5 hours.
  • Familiarity with various materials, including metals and plastics.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of CNC machining best practices and industry standards.


Education/Experience/Benefits:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional technical training or certification in CNC programming is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC Mill Programmer in a manufacturing setting.
