Role: Occupational Health Registered Nurse

Position Description:

  • Conduct disability and absence case management for non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Communicates and collaborates with key stakeholders in the business to determine appropriate and safe return to work conditions.
  • Perform return-to-work, fitness-for-duty exams, and assessments.
  • Perform OSHA Medical Surveillance exam clearances.
  • Review Post-offer Pre-Employment Physicals.
  • Maintains confidential, accurate, and timely medical records in our electronic health record system, Cority.
  • Works effectively with the Health Services team and other departments, and external providers.
  • Must work well in a professional, customer-focused and collaborative environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact state.
  • Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S), preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Occupational Health.
  • Experience in case management, FMLA, ADA, Short Term Disability, Return-to-Work Programs, DOT, and OSHA Medical Surveillance program, preferred
  • Completion of NIOSH spirometry course, preferred
  • CAOHC certification, preferred
  • Proficiency in computer skills and in electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience in Cority.
  • Experience in occupational health, ideally within the oil and gas industry.

Position Details:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday (8 hr days)
  • Location: Houston, TX

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
