Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist:

  • Precise Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Thorough Verification: Review sales orders, contracts, and purchase orders to verify billing details, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to gather necessary information for billing purposes.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
  • Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of billing records, identifying and rectifying errors or inaccuracies.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues or discrepancies, providing excellent customer service.
  • Data Analysis: Generate various billing reports and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.


Requirements of the Medical Billing Specialist:

  • Proven work experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role in a medical environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of billing processes, including invoice preparation, billing codes, and payment collection.
  • Proficiency in using billing software and tools, ensuring efficient and accurate billing operations.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills, ensuring precision in billing processes.
