Responsibilties:


  • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory and vendors to develop, update and maintain R&D databases.
  • Organize and maintain all raw material technical literature
  • Develop and build relationships with raw material suppliers to support R&D and Purchasing.
  • Order and maintain inventory of new raw materials to help improve lab efficiencies and reduce lead times.
  • Develop and grow strong transparent relationships with new and existing customers to provide essential support to help grow the business. Support includes raw material research, formula/raw material updates and/or changes and some regulatory documentation.
  • Responsible for the electronic formula data entry into production systems, Markov. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the data entered into Markov, including BOMs, batching instructions, change controls, etc. Work with QC to build raw material release specifications. Will work with multiple departments to manage the flow of the necessary documentation and signoffs of formulas BOMs and regulatory documentation.
  • Research trends, competitive benchmarks, and product ingredients to help support R&D chemists for new development.
  • Research alternate suppliers for cost-saving or dual-sourcing projects.


Qualifications:

  • High School degree Required
  • Further education is a PLUS (Cosmetic Science or Related Field)
  • Experience in cosmetic industry or personal care products
  • Contract manufacturing experience is a PLUS
  • FDA regulated companies
  • Experience with raw materials literature- Safety Data Sheets, Certificates of analysis, INCIs, and composition breakdowns
  • Experience ordering/maintaining inventory.
  • Experience researching trends, competitive benchmarks, alternate supplier costs, and product ingredients
  • Strong attention to detail and organized
