JOB SUMMARY

As an Assistant Superintendent at Kennedy Richter Construction, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our construction projects. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will assist with coordinating project schedules, managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position that requires both leadership and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved in the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning: Assist the Superintendent with reviewing the project startup packet, plans, project specifications, and submittals prior to mobilization. Identify areas of concern within the scope and/or details regarding coordination and constructability.

Scheduling & Communication: Assist the Superintendent in coordinating and executing the project schedule, ensure Subcontractor compliance with schedule, and assist the Superintendent in producing the 3-Week Schedule. Communicate effectively with the project team, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful

completion of each project phase.

Execution: Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily operations of the construction site, including supervising field personnel, subcontractors, and trades. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

Quality & Safety: Assist the Superintendent in monitoring and enforcing quality control standards to ensure the work meets contract specifications, industry standards, and client expectations, ensuring compliance with QAQC Inspections and Checklists. Assist in enforcing safety protocols and OSHA standards to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, site conditions, work logs, and meeting minutes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Field Management/Construction experience preferred, but not required. Strong willingness to learn and a drive to become a Superintendent.

Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Knowledge: Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling software (Procore, or similar), and blueprint reading is essential.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Certification and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a const ruction site, including standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a full-time position with occasional travel required to project sites. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. Work environment will vary based on project locations, including both office and construction site settings.
