Medical Receptionist


LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join our client’s oncology team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This position is temp to hire in Dublin, OH. Pay for this role will range between $17/hr. and $19/hr. depending on experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of clinic resources.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Verify patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.
  • Provide information to patients about clinic policies, procedures, and services.
  • Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
