Job Summary Statement:

This position is a multi-skilled craftsman responsible for repairing/rebuilding hydraulic c, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical controlled production equipment. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, and hydraulic drawings is essential.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and perform reactive and preventive maintenance for all equipment and facilities.
  • Dismantle defective machines/equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Layout, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform all duties safely.
  • Maintain the maintenance shop area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Practice 5S daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to operator a sit-down forklift.
  • English language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Physical Demands: Manufacturing environment. Able to lift up to 60 lbs. stoop and bend. Able to work weekends and night shift.
  • Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving and analytical skill, Action oriented – results oriented, strong technical skills, Mechanical, Knowledge of machine functions, Familiarity with industrial products and Trade school a plus ; plastic product mfg. experience.
  • Trade school certification preferred. Allen Bradley/GE Fanuc PLC maintenance and programming is desirable.
