The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the support administration of all benefits and leave related functions for Solis team members, physicians, and contractors. This position is critical to Solis Mammography; the Benefits and Leave Specialist impacts the long-term viability of the company by supporting the team to provide outstanding service and accurate and efficient payment to all team members.

RESULTS MEASURE BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands, promotes, and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Reconciles benefit deductions to team member enrollments and provides findings to Benefits Manager monthly; follows up to resolve discrepancies;
  • Audits benefit enrollments with benefit carriers;
  • Reviews and Processes 401k Employer and Employee Contributions;
  • Processes monthly benefit billing/invoices, ensuring payment to carriers is timely and reconciles invoices monthly;
  • Processes all Leave of Absence emails, and processes timecards for team members on leave;
  • Processes Insurance Repayments for team members who return from leave;
  • Processes NMSN;
  • Distributes Conversion/Portability notices;
  • Reviews and Processes team member Qualifying Life Events;
  • Tracks and processes ADA Accommodation Requests, regarding team member required vaccines;
  • Processes eligibility and census reports to send to the carriers;
  • Audits all Benefit related matters during payroll processing each pay period;
  • Reviews New Hire benefit elections, and distributes ID cards and welcome gifts;
  • Reviews, composes, and/or revises miscellaneous Payroll/HRIS reports as needed;
  • Monitors ACA eligibility;
  • Monitors Wellness Plan completion and ensures company contributions to HSA are processed timely;
  • Completes EEO-1 report annually;
  • Completes FSA Non-Discrimination Testing annually.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 year or more of benefits experience required
  • Multi-site, multi-state experience strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
