Role Description

This is a full-time position for an on-site Superintendent with Riverside Construction Group for a project located in Vero Beach, FL. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, managing schedules, budgets, and personnel, ensuring compliance with building regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The Superintendent will also be responsible for communicating with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process.

Qualifications

  • Construction Management skills, including knowledge of building codes and regulations, and experience supervising construction projects
  • Leadership and personnel management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team of workers
  • Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen to and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process
  • Physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specs, submittals, RFI's, Shop Drawings)
  • Ability to manage jobsites implementing best safety practices (RCG will provide OSHA 30 training)
  • Ability to create and update schedules (using Smartsheets, P6, or similar scheduling tools)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and/or relevant field experience
  • 6+ years of experience in construction management
  • Certifications in construction management, building codes, or related areas are a plus
