Job Description

Assists in the set-up and test of a unit or units.  Works with blueprints, specifications, etc.  Runs panel with unit being tested if required.  Reads analyzers, meters, and scopes.   Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency.  Must have knowledge of safe set-up and operation of rotating equipment testing. Works with direction from Tester A or supervisor.  Eight thousand (8,000) hours experience required to become familiar with and understand testing principles and procedures, to acquire knowledge of testing instruments and their purpose, manufacturing methods and testing techniques.  Must successfully complete Tooling U classes for electrical safety.  Performs other duties as designated by the supervisor, in the same salary grade or below.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Vocational or high school graduate with coursework in electronics required, plus a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training in testing related trades such as assembler, machinist, or electrician.
