Primetals is seeking an HR Generalist to support employees within our Metallurgical Services Division. Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful HR Generalist will deliver on a people strategy that drives business success and cultivates a culture in which employees succeed. We are seeking an experienced HR professional who is passionate about their work and strives for continued improvement for themselves and for the employees they support.

This position will support the business leadership in multiple states, but is based out of Blytheville, AR. The position will require approximately 30% of time in out-of-state travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help drive a positive, productive, and winning culture that embraces forward-moving change through the day-to-day administration, communication and implementation of HR policies and programs. Enable leaders at all levels to create and maintain an environment that engages team members to deliver quality results and drive change through successful implementation of performance management programs, succession planning and employee development activities. Support business continuity and growth through the management of hiring and recruitment activities for assigned business(es). Key influencer of culture by driving performance management and reward strategies that encourage outstanding performance, innovation, and a passion for our work. Act as a trusted partner to management, by providing day-to-day coaching around effective leadership, employee development and supporting HR programs/initiatives. Ensure ongoing organizational-wide communication plans are implemented at the local level to ensure alignment of goals & objectives across the organization. Develop, communicate, and administer HR initiatives in support of established business needs and Primetals’ core values. Ensures business is fully compliant with all applicable labor law.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent practical experience, and 2-4 years of Generalist experience. SHRM Certified Professional preferred

Key Competencies

Knowledge of HR and Organizational Development industry best practices Strong communication, project management, problem solving and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates a high level of initiative Strong HR systems skills (Experience with Success Factors preferred, but not required) Ability to create project plans and conduct basic cost accounting Ability to travel to all PTUS locations on a regular frequency (30% travel)
