Design and implement embedded solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Lead a team of embedded developers and analysts through the development of a new product. Take over solutioning responsibilities for ongoing product programs based on team capacity. Work with the existing team to plan out the remaining work for the year. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 8 years of software engineer experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 6 years of software engineer experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR At least 10 years of software engineer experience At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Deep understanding of embedded systems. Deep understanding of embedded development practices on the embedded module and the corresponding cloud application. Deep understanding of C/C++ programming language, Linux operating system. Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), and system virtualization. Experience with automotive solutions and the automotive industry. Experience with the J1939 vehicle communication protocol. Experience in embedded architectures and patterns. Ability to design and implement embedded solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Ability to lead a team of embedded developers and analysts through the development of a new product. Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and a creative and agile mindset.
