Job Description

Position Purpose:This position is part of a comprehensive team that leads the wellness branch of Student Life, which includes the Student Resource Center (SRC), Student Health Clinic (SHC), Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) and Intramural Programs, and is charged with providing coordination, support, and implementation of dynamic programming to meet the needs of a diverse student body. The position reports directly to the Director of Student Life and works closely with the Associate Director of Multicultural Student Life to ensure that programming across all Student Life areas is reflective of the college mission and strategic goals. This position works in collaboration with all the departments within Student Life to (a) promote student involvement and increase student success through a well-rounded experience, (b) provide opportunities for students to complement the academic curriculum with their extracurricular experiences, and to © support health and wellness programs and initiatives with campus partners. This position is also responsible for developing and facilitating a comprehensive experiential leadership program, advising the student Planning Activities Committee (PAC) and leading, planning and coordination of Welcome Week and Century College commencement.Position Responsibilities:Co-develop and lead student organization operations and the organization of Student Life events/programming to meet the needs of a diverse student body.Develop and facilitate a comprehensive experiential leadership program that provides students with diverse opportunities to build and enhance their skills.Advise the Student Planning Activities Committee (PAC).Develop and implement student Welcome Week activities to foster community building and create an engaging experience.Co-coordinate the Century College graduation ceremony. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (expected to have to enter job) Bachelor’s degree.Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a college student services program with student leadership, campus event management, co-curricular programming, publications and social media, and student organization development.Evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Driving is an integral part of responsibilities – Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:(desired but not expected to have to enter job) Masters in College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field.Experience with development and growth of new programming.Experience developing and facilitating student leadership programming.Supervisory experience of student workers and/or graduate interns.Previous work experience with community college populations.Ability to make data-driven decisions regarding programmatic efforts.
