Summary

:

Energean is seeking to employ a Telecom Technician for our offshore facility in Israel. The Telecom Technician will perform the required inspection, maintenance and repairs of the Variable communication devices associated with FPSO operations to meet the planning, scheduling and priorities of the FPSO whilst ensuring work is performed effectively, efficiently and safely and in accordance with the required procedures.

Key Accountabilities :

• Report any defect or inspection report to relevant Team Leader in a clear and concise manner and record all relevant information in logs as required.
• Actively participate in meetings, planning, initiatives etc.
• Safety related equipment is supplied and installed correctly with any deficiencies identified as early as possible to allow timely rectification.
• Experienced with installing, configurating and maintaining telecommunication equipment. 
• 2nd/3rd Line technical support on all Telecoms systems.
• Support the Business on other projects.
• Technical advice and support to the Business outside active Telecoms scopes.
• Primary Telecoms interface for other Company departments i.e. ICT and Security.
• Create and maintain Training Matrix for Telecoms staff.
• Vendor Management.
• Carry out Competency Assessments.
• Manage and approve design changes.
• Define and approve the technical standards and specifications.
• Analyse failure trends and implement changes.
• Participate in technical assurance and integrity reviews.
• Review and manage maintenance schedules.


Qualifications and Experience :

• Certifications or degree in telecommunications, electronic or related field.
• BOSIET / MEDICAL / MIST training


Skills :

• Previous offshore oil and gas experience, preferably working on an FPSO – an advantage
• Demonstrable knowledge of telecommunications systems, equipment and protocols.
• Experience of working within the strict limitations of a Permit to Work system 
• Good communication, team working and coaching skills.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-solving abilities. Able to diagnose and resolve issues with communication systems, equipment and network connectivity efficiently and effectively.
