Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a part-time CEI Intern to join our downtown Kansas City, MO office for the Summer of 2025. This intern will assist with a varity of projects encompassing several different aspects of CEI. This intern will be responsible for assisting project engineers and project managers with design and administrative tasks. Assist staff with routine engineering tasks as assigned Provide weekly status updates Conduct field investigations and data collection Assist with plan production Assists in the preparation of various transportation engineering projects, including design and analysis. Gathers engineering data from a variety of sources. Identifies design criteria Evaluates existing and proposed geometric conditions. Participates in site visits, project investigations and project meetings. Provides design efforts that adhere to quality and schedule requirements Assists in preparing and reviewing engineering reports and exhibits Assists in developing preliminary quantities and cost estimates Qualifications What you bring to our firm: Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited univeristy. Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
