Position Summary:
Patient Access Coordinator PT hours Thurs & Fri 330p-11p e/o weekend 330p-11p Sat & SunSummary:
Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and registration of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into the computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels. Excellent customer service skills are required. Treats patients/families professionally, with respect and dignity Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Performs other related duties as assigned.The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work assignments that may be inherent in the job.
Qualifications:
