Description

Assisting new residents in adjusting to unit, philosophy, and goals of Willow Point Nursing Home;

Reporting to Charge Nurse any accident or change of condition of resident and documenting on progress notes in the chart; Discussing clinical issues regarding resident care with Charge Nurse; Working as a member of the interdisciplinary team to assist with the preparation, implementation and continuing evaluation of the care plan; Observing, recording and reporting progress or any change in resident’s condition; Updating the care plan as needed; Carrying out therapeutic treatments; Administering and dispensing medications (with the exception of IV) to residents, observing for side effects and effectiveness; Securing/accounting for controlled drugs; Maintaining nursing care and administrative records and reports; Attending staff meetings and in-service programs. Minimum Qualifications
A) Completion of a course of study approved by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse and licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
COVID Vaccination required.
