Shelter Worker – TEMP POSITION – HURRICANE SUPPORT

Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC, a leading essential staffing company servicing national emergency and disaster efforts, is seeking interested emergency relief personnel.

Job Overview:

The Pod Leader functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. Provides structured, safe activities for students during downtime between scheduled activities. Responsible for team management, client communication, running an agile process, and overseeing the delivery of the product over multiple iterations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Staff must have a minimum of two (2) year’s experience working in the social services and/or health care fields and must have the following abilities:
  • Able to follow procedures and job tools including reporting requirements.
  • Able to acquire, evaluate, and report information accurately.
  • Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings.
  • Able to interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs.
  • Must have active listening skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be accountable.
  • Able to involve appropriate others in managing problems and conflict.
  • Able to work well with others.
  • Able to function in a dynamic and stressful environment with little or no supervision, adapting to change, negotiating compromise, and tolerating ambiguity.
  • Able to stand and or sit for two-hour periods.
  • Able to speak clearly on the phone and in person.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks/be drug-free.

Labor Rates: The following rates include labor wages, lodging, per diem, and travel. The labor rate is inclusive of straight time and overtime.

Pod Leader $48.00/hr.

Each applicant interested in supporting in Louisiana will need deployment and arrive at the designed site within 24 hours - 48 hours from the time of notice. Each applicant will need to complete their onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed but will be located at a staging area established by the Department of Children and Family Services Deployments or other State agencies in various regions of the state.
