The Video Specialist is someone eager to create and execute compelling stories, content, and long- and short-form video from concept to final cut. You’ll have the opportunity to build a reel while standing out in a competitive and fast-moving industry. For example, the Equity Bank marketing team produces upwards of short, medium, and long-form video projects in a year, ranging from Instagram reels to documentary movies to full-scale ad campaigns. This position is ideal for a media journalist who can tell stories quickly, efficiently, and effectively in a short period of time, or for a well-rounded video professional who enjoys multitasking with editing, Aftereffect design, video shooting, and storytelling. The Video Specialist is adept at taking complex ideas and key messages and editing a story that connects with audiences, internally and externally. This person is able to visit with clients, work on editing projects, and a strong collaborator, and fearless contributor. Your video projects will grab the attention of the audience, engage with them, but, most importantly, inspire them to act.  Key Responsibilities Video Direction and Production: Collaborate to develop best-in-class motion and video content against key business priorities leveraging Equity’s brand and future vision. Creative Storytelling: Help to drive impactful strategic creative content through video and motion, proactively connecting with business partners, customers, and team members for storytelling opportunities. Work with a dynamic executive team and in-house marketing agency to present their voice to employees throughout the organization. Your Role Will Include:
  • Editing and optimizing video content from in-house marketing team, freelancers, and production studios.
  • Repackaging TV commercials, interviews, user-generated video, and in-house educational videos.
  • Developing consistent branding, effects, music, and imagery for Equity Bank video productions.
  • Working with clients to evaluate video and project needs and executing videos telling Equity Bank’s brand stories.
  • Using Adobe Premiere Pro as your chief editing tool.
  • Traveling to various sites in Equity’s network for video projects.
  • Supervising and supporting our video agency work.
  • Scriptwriting and ideation for various video channels.
  • Create strategically impactful creative content, both long and short form, worthy of wide audiences that engage with our customers, our employees and our stakeholders
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills and creative thinking capabilities
  • Excellent project management skills (especially with large volumes of content) and commitment to deadlines, processes and policies
  • Create strategic, entertaining, and/or informative visual stories that spans across all media types
  • Participate in marketing, branding, and internal campaigns for company, local markets, and communities
  • Photography selection and coordination for print campaigns
  • Radio and podcast communication creation
You’re a fit with these skills:
  • 1-3 years' experience in videography and editing in either a film company, production environment, digital marketing company or advertising agency, editing short and longform features, telling creative and meaningful stories from available and produced content.
  • You will shoot video. You will edit video. You will be expected to do both. You will manage our video warehouse and our library. 
  • A thorough understanding of digital video and media software is essential. Must have working knowledge of post-production software, including, but not limited to: VimeoPro, YouTube, Wordpress, Adobe PremierePro, Adobe After Effects, CreativeSuite, Microsoft Office, Canva, and other social and video publishing tools. 
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign. Adobe XD and Microsoft PPT a plus.
  • Experience optimizing for social video channels.
  • Hard working, multi-tasker who enjoys taking ownership of projects. Comfortable in fast-paced environment that values creativity, self-motivation, passion, innovation, and accountability.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team while producing independently, similar to a freelance video contractor or a video journalist. 
  • Ability to take a consultative approach when working with executives and various departments.
  • Animation experience.
  • Podcasting experience.
TravelThis position is ideally located in Wichita, Kansas, at Equity’s corporate offices. Significant travel, up to 40% including day trips to regions and visits to Equity Bank Marketing offices in Kansas City will be required.  The above statements are intended to generally describe the nature and level of work to be performed by most people assigned to this job.
