Non-Tenure: Visiting Professor of Practice

The Department of Finance at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, invites applications for a part-time, (Non-Tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning Spring 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title(s) of Visiting Professor of Practice depending on qualifications.
The successful candidate is expected to teach courses with rigorous academic content at the undergraduate, masters, and/or doctoral level, and to engage in service and outreach activities that advance the educational mission of the department, the school, and the university.

Applicants for this position must possess extensive industry experience in commodity and energy middle- and back-office management. Applicants must have experience as a current or former COO of a commodity trade floor with both middle-office and back-office career positions. The successful applicant must be able to discuss middle and back-office processes that added to the ability of traders to trade more profitably with little increased risk, and must be able to discuss applications of VaR policy, limit policy establishment and modifications and how to establish effective hedges with contracts settling on multiple dates throughout the month.
