Job Description:

Vertex Aerospace Solutions is seeking a procurement professional to join the Modernization & Sustainment Acquisition team. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, awarding, documenting, and managing suppliers for both material and service-based requirements. In this role, the person will be responsible for placing requirements on purchase order in the most efficient and compliant manner.

Identify qualified suppliers for program requirements RFQ (request for quote) activities Analyze supplier quotes and make sourcing decisions Supplier negotiations on price, lead times and terms & conditions Purchase Order documentation Post-award ownership in accordance with company directives and work instructions

Required Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office application including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills Ability to balance workload by multi-tasking Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

Prior procurement experience Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.) Experience with Six Sigma and productivity improvement

Education Requirements:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
