The Body Shop Helper is responsible for assisting the technicians in repairing and restoring all assigned vehicles to pre accident condition.

Assist in approaching the repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process Assist in de-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts Assist in pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary Assist in performing quality repairs without passing on defects Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follows proper repair procedures Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal Keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas ASE certification in body repairs Auto Body Vo-Tech certification or military equivalent experience preferred Demonstrate commitment to continued learning by ongoing participation in I-CAR I-CAR Welding certificate a plus Periodic lifting and carrying of objects over 50 pounds Will be required to reach above and below shoulder level Must be able to push materials/parts carts and push cars (with assistance) Must be able to kneel, bend, squat and stoop for extended periods of time to complete or inspect repairs Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion May be required to inspect vehicles outdoors in inclement weather May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator Must be at least eighteen years of age Must have a valid Driver’s License Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
