A day in the life of a Construction Specialist:
The Construction Specialist is responsible for providing high-level support for all construction functions as deemed necessary by the Construction Manager. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Utility set up and disconnects as needed to complete property construction/rehab
Vendor scheduling
Managing construction and vendor schedule
Processing and maintaining vendor invoices as well as payment reconciliation
Additional duties as assigned by manager
What you’ll need to have:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of construction administrative assistant experience.
Intermediate computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office) – required.
Ability to calm and diffuse escalated contractors/issues.
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
Ability to escalate difficult inquiries or problems to managers.
Good communication and reading skills along with excellent organizational abilities

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Days of work are Monday through Friday, however, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required as job duties demand.
