The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate with multi-discipline teams on Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures Projects
  • Prepare civil/structural/and hydraulic drawings, specifications, feasibility studies, alternative analysis, and other reports
  • Condition and risk assessment of civil assets (dams, canals, pipelines, etc)

This team has a portfolio of major civil works projects across the country that are moving the needle. Key Responsibilities
  • Focuses on the coordinating internal teams and resources while working to understand client’s interest and needs
  • Develop structural technical specification, plans, and details for projects such as dams, canals, flood control projects, and pipelines
  • Conducting studies or existing hydraulic engineering projects to assess their efficiency or safety risks
  • Planning, designing, and overseeing hydraulic engineering projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience performing engineering related duties with previous experience in Tunneling, Dams, Buried Infrastructure, Linear Infrastructure and/or Hydropower.
  • 3+ years of experience in hydraulic structures design
  • Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) License or in active pursuit
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Certifications

Active PE License or in active pursuit

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote)
  • Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
