Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Bookkeeper to manage our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping within the construction industry. You will work closely with our project managers and financial team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records for all construction projects. Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Reconcile bank statements and accounts. Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets. Track project costs and expenses. Manage payroll for construction workers and staff. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits. Liaise with project managers to ensure accurate project costing and financial forecasting. Utilize accounting software to streamline financial processes. Handle accounts payable and receivable. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software SAGE or QuickBooks. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with construction contracts and change orders is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Pay: $28 - $35 per hr.
