In this position... 

Senior Manager of Supplier Quality Industrialization and Launch is responsible for working between engineering, Manufacturing, and supply chain teams as well as with external suppliers to ensure alignment on requirements, provide critical feedback on part designs, 2-D drawings, and directly improve specification development procedures for Ford’s next generation electric powertrains. The hands-on leader of this team will identify, attract, mentor and retain the most talented engineers to enable new automotive suppliers, build robust quality plans, and drive for low-cost high-volume manufacturing processes in an extremely aggressive timeline across globe. 


You'll have... 

. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field  5+ years experience in a leadership role in supplier quality management and production management  10+ years experience working in an assembly or manufacturing environment.  In depth understanding of EV Architecture, HV Batteries, EDUs, Power Electronics, GD&T, DFM, and Root Cause Analysis  Understanding of QMS and SPC & Suppler Quality tool box (ISO, IATF)  Ability to travel (25-75% on average on a short term or long basis based on supplier global site locations)

Experience with APQP, PPAP, Lean Six Sigma, MSA, FMEA and Minitab.  Strong engineering and quality skills to support supplier process and quality negotiations  Previous experience as a design and quality engineer  Ability to provide feedback on supplier processes to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization.  Ability to hire and recruit engineering and supply chain team members
