Position Overview:

As the HVAC Installation Department Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of both residential and commercial projects. You'll lead a team of skilled professionals, driving efficiency, safety, and quality in every aspect of our installations. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of HVAC systems, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the HVAC installation department, including both residential and commercial projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the installation team, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve job costing, maximize profitability, and enhance overall departmental performance.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to Project Managers, providing support and guidance in project planning, execution, and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Implement and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures for HVAC installations, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and proactively address them to minimize disruptions and meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installations, with a strong emphasis on both residential and commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of success in project management, job costing, and team leadership within the HVAC industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HVAC-related software applications.
  • NATE certification and/or HVAC-related certifications/licenses preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
