The HR Generalist at our manufacturing site plays a critical role in supporting human resources functions within the production facility. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities related to recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, and coordination of travel for visitors, specifically tailored to the needs of a manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and completion of required paperwork.

2.      Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and provide recommendations for resolution.

3.      Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits enrollment, coverage, and eligibility.
  • Coordinate open enrollment periods and communicate changes to employees.

4.      HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee information, benefits, and HR transactions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

5.      Visitor Travel Coordination:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for visitors to the manufacturing site, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Communicate travel itineraries and logistical details to visitors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all travel arrangements are made in accordance with company policies and budgetary guidelines.

6.      HR Administration:

  • Maintain HR databases and systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of employee records.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related reports and metrics to management as needed.
  • Assist with other HR administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
