The rank of Senior Research Scientist is a staff appointment and the most senior level within the research scientist job hierarchy. A Senior Research Scientist may apply his/her effort entirely to research or to a combination of research, training, and lab managerial activities.
Required Qualifications- Terminal Degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M./, etc.)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant research area, and evidence of scholarly work (e.g. scientific publications, scientific grant contributions, etc.)
- Work experience in an academic environment
- More than 10 years’ research experience
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience managing research budgets and/or personnel
