Position Description

The Business Development Manager - Contractor Services is a key member of the Coatings management team, reporting directly into the business unit General Manager. This role is responsible for directing costumer cultivation and sales and customer service activities related to HVAC contractor and engineering firm.

Key Responsibilities Cultivate, manage and support national contractor and engineering customer portfolio while developing a deep market understanding of Modine Coatings Aggressively grow sales through aftermarket channel with customer-focused strategies and action plans that create a competitive advantage for Modine Coatings Collaborate with HVAC OEM Commercial team to ensure appropriate support of OEM customers Ensure that Modine Coatings are included in critical specifications that create a competitive advantage Work closely with marketing strategist to:develop a marketing strategy to address the customers through their journeydefine, select, manage and attend industry-related tradeshowscollaborate and provide routine content for social media and PR updatesinfluence and prioritize the development of new products and new product commercialization Uses 80/20 to analyze products, customers and markets to identify opportunities for focus and areas of growth Collect, maintain and leverage market intelligence, competitor analysis and best practices and stay up-to-date on market dynamics Gather and communicate customers' feedback on service, technology and product delivery Forecast, manage, and present sales pipeline and client portfolio diversity regularly Measures, tracks and analyzes key account metrics Position the execution teams for success Collaborate with Customer Service on delivery and accounts receivable Required Education & Qualifications A bachelor's degree with concentration in business administration, finance, sales, mechanical engineering or related field is required 10+ years related experience in sales, sales channel management and marketing Experience in construction management, Property Development Design/Build/Own/Operate/Maintain (DBOOM) Background in HVAC consulting, architectural design or engineering market highly preferred Contacts within OEM Manufacturer Rep Network, Distribution, HVAC Parts Houses Knowledge of RIB SpecLink or AIA Master Spec software a plus Experience working with Construction Specification Institute (CSI) Standards also a plus Proven results managing and growing multi-level sales channel organization Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical teams, and to all levels in the organization Excellent time and project management skills Proficient in all MS-Office applications as well as CRM software Analytical and problem-solving mindset Exceptional customer service skills Strategic thinker Excellent presentation skills Proven ability to influence people and articulate ideas across all levels of the organization Ability and understanding to work in a global environment and understand the importance of working cross culturally Proficiency in Spanish, strongly preferred
