The of Medical Student Education for the Office(s) of Medical Education (OMSE) will join a dynamic group of leaders to assume substantial independent, senior administrative authority on behalf of the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Student Education, developing policies and procedures and ensuring they are operationalized, initiating and managing change processes, assisting in programmatic evaluation and data oversight, assisting with the maintenance of LCME accreditation process, managing new programs and initiatives, managing communication rollout for faculty, staff, and students under OMSE, managing relationships with campus and site partners , and ensuring overall comparability across clinical sites. The Senior Director will work collaboratively with the OMSE leadership team as well as independently to make decisions and lead new initiatives to achieve higher levels of performance across OMSE and in coordination with the School of Medicine. The Senior Director of Medical Student Education will supervise the Senior Directors of Admissions, Curricular Affairs, Student Affairs, and Educational Effectiveness and maintain overall oversight for the supervision and development of all staff members in the Offices of Medical Student Education. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities related to the development or administration of academic standards or curricula, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required with five years or greater of related professional experience; for candidates demonstrating comparable professional backgrounds, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and seven years or greater of relevant experience in substitution.

The Senior Director must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and team-building behaviors, and the capacity to inspire confidence in their reasoning and decision-making, as well as to inspire confidence in their team. This position requires the expertise to work independently, to diagnose a wide range of business, technical, and administrative issues, and to identify and implement solutions to those problems. The candidate must also be able to work collaboratively in a team, to identify, engage, and build relationships with key stakeholders and constituents, market the successes and needs of the Offices of Medical Student Education (OMSE), and to communicate effectively with a wide array of audiences. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leadership experience, innovation and effective program management and be able to effectively manage multiple responsibilities of a confidential nature with a high level of discretion and independent judgment. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Preferred candidates will have experience as a senior manager in higher education or a healthcare system, preferably working in Student Affairs, Financial Aid, or Academic Affairs at an Academic Medical Center and/or working with operations and strategic planning in a large healthcare system.
