Janitor

OVERVIEW:

The janitor will maintain cleanliness of the Modesto Red Shield Corps Center and keep Corps equipment in good operating condition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean bathrooms Sweep and mop all rooms Clean all windows Pick up trash around the facility Empty all trash cans Rinse and wash out trash cans Vacuum offices Help with stripping, waxing, and buffing all floors Set up rooms for various programs and events Order and organize all cleaning and janitorial supplies Wash interior walls Oversee and train volunteers Attend all staff training and meetings Assist in keeping track and ordering inventory supplies Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) CA Driver License (required) Experience in janitorial work (1 year required)  Experience in operating a forklift and/or pallet jack

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Great communication Team player Ability to be independent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software Relevant janitorial and maintenance equipment
