Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) to join our team in Cleveland, OH.

Ability to set up and run CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls. Ability to follow work instructions by maintaining specifications, by observing milling, drilling, tapping, grooving and cutting operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Ability to perform routine maintenance. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Ability to read blue prints and inspect parts. Check accuracy of work against blueprints. Ability to work 2nd shift. Ability to read mics, calipers, OD’s, tool pre-setting/comparators, dial bore gauges and make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, as well as, proper speeds & feeds.

3-5 years of CNC Machine operating/set-up experience. Background of machining of castings, iron castings preferred. Previous lathe and milling experience preferred. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus. Associate degree from a 2 year college or technical school or 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience.
