KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. E-2/C-2 Airborne Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) is responsible for providing the E-2C Hawkeye, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, Hawkeye 2000 and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy, logistics and sustainment solutions in support of the warfighter’s mission.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for research, development, integration and testing of advanced communications/datalinks systems.

  • Provides system development support will include acquisition documentation development, development of specifications, conduct independent technical analyses, evaluate system documentation, and test analysis.

  • Handles task-specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving.

  • Generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed.

  • Works closely with the customer and primary contract vendors to ensure requirements are properly implemented.

  • Interface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment.

  • Travel (20-25%) is required for this position.

  • This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university is required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in communications/datalink systems engineering is required.

  • Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A final DoD Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.

  • Must be able to travel as required by contract.

  • Must be able to work on-site, remote work is not available.

Preferred Experience

  • Interoperability integration and testing

  • E-2D Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Link-16.

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Project

  • Professionalism and customer service
