  • Clean & maintain all painting equipment, including spray equipment
  • Store & label all materials
  • Help set up ladders and scaffolding according to safety regulations
  • Travel within 45 minutes of Brownstown. No overnights
  • Work consistent full-time hours – 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday – with voluntary overtime

Hursh Painting Company, a second-generation, family-owned commercial and residential painting contractor, is seeking an experienced painter to join its team. We aim to be the best painting and wallcovering contractor. We have built our company with a solid group of talented, quality-minded people so we can conduct our business with respect and honesty. Our Ideal Painter:

  • Experience: 2+ years of journeyman-level painting in residential or commercial settings, both interior & exterior, is required. Must have a working knowledge of various paints, varnishes, lacquers, etc.; applicable code requirements; and operation & maintenance of tools, machinery, and power equipment.
  • Active: Ability to lift equipment (up to 85 pounds unassisted), bend, climb, stand, walk, and work from heights. Ability to keep hands steady and use manual & power tools.
  • Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Drive to do a great job. Treats co-workers with care and respect.
  • Safety-Conscious: Values and follows safe working practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Will work efficiently and effectively within time constraints while keeping committed to quality work.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Fully engaged in the job, enjoys being challenged and learning new skills. Hardworking & motivated.
  • Adaptable: Able to thrive in a fast-paced & constantly changing environment with a professional attitude.
  • Must have reliable transportation, personal cell phone & painting tools – Brushes, rolling poles, putty knives, nail set, hammer, etc.
