Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Internal Medicine team. In this role, you will provide primary care services to adult patients, from routine checkups to the management of complex medical conditions. You will work closely with a team of physicians, specialists, and support staff to deliver the best care possible to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, with strong clinical skills and a passion for improving the health and well-being of adults in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic testing. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and more. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. Provide patient education and counseling on lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and medication management. Perform routine procedures EKGs, blood draws, vaccinations) as needed. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results, make recommendations for treatment, and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Document patient information and care plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system. Participate in on-call coverage as needed (flexible scheduling options available). Stay updated on the latest clinical guidelines and medical research.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Board Certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, or another relevant specialty. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in internal medicine. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.Salary Range
