Job Summary: 

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of our food manufacturing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. This role involves partnering with senior management to drive financial performance, ensuring financial stability, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive financial expertise, and a deep understanding of the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and department heads. Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, goals, and plans.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses. Present financial results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Cost Management: Analyze production costs, raw material expenses, and operational expenditures. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives. Optimize working capital and oversee cash flow forecasting.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet organizational goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives and business plans. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial support and insights. Communicate financial performance and strategies to stakeholders, including investors and board members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably in the food manufacturing.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Famous, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
